This irritates the foot of the slug and the snail much like our old woolen school jumpers used to irritate our skin when we wore them. Wool also pulls moister away from their foot which in turn makes it difficult for them to produce the slime they need to reach our plants.

1 kg is sufficient for 25m sq when mixed into the soil.

When planting new plants around 20g placed into the hole before planting will give your plants a great boost and help hold onto moisture for the roots to access when needed.

The pellets can also be used on top of the soil as a slug and snail deterrent. Simply create a ring around the base of the plant and give the pellets a good water. They will puff up and create a barrier around the base of the plant.
